If
your little one loves insects & adventure, they'll adore the new
children's book Angie the Ant and The Bumblebee Tree by Susi Beatty and
Keri Gunter. Angie dreams of fleeing from the captive village of
Fleaville and reaching the Bumbletree Tree to live in the land of
Antamar for freedom. Though the Bumblebee Tree can be seen in the
distance from her window, it's not as easy to reach as one would think.
A child can reach the tree with a 5 minute walk but for a tiny ant, it
can be a dangerous and long journey.
Angie wakes early one morning and silently slips out her window after the Fleaville patrol have left her street. She climbs a rocky ledge and loses her footing & begins to tumbles but Frankie the Blue Heron is there to save her! She then finds a baby Weebie which is the key to rid the land of fleas! When she reached the Bumbletree Tree, the kind & queen have a celebration in her honor!
