Maternity Is Hip
Looking your best during your pregnancy has become more and more important as celebrities like Angelina & Katie Holmes are provoking companies to come up with stylish luxuries for the mom-to-be and their new babies to indulge in. Pregnancy, in short, has become hipper, more glamorous -- sexy even. It feels odd to think that way about something as basic as the propagation of the human race.

"It's hip now to be pregnant," said Jill Siefert, a fashion stylist in San Francisco who recently added pregnancy styling to her business. "Everybody's doing it." Celebrities are showing us that it's OK to be big and beautiful, and women are hiring top-notch photogs to capture their every-changing bodies as mementos.

The pregnant Sandra Leong hired Jennifer Loomis to document her first pregnancy who charges $750 per session. A decade ago Loomis' colleagues laughed at her for wanting to make a business our of photographing pregnant women, but look who's laughing now.

Prince William Proposing?
Rumors have it that Britain's Price William, 23, is about to propose to his girlfriend Kate Middleton, 24, on holiday in the Caribbeans. The elder son of heir to the throne Britain's Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana is flying to the island of Mustique on Friday to join the 24-year-old Middleton, the Evening Standard reported on Friday. The London newspaper said William sought advice from Camilla Parker Bowles on the best place to hide away from paparazzi in order to propose.

Angelina Boosts Tourism In Namibia
As a United Nations Ambassador, Angelina knows how to pull attention to the smallest of countries. This time it's Namibia as we've reported two weeks ago that Angelina and Brad have decided to have their baby in this small African country. In the very short amount the couple, along with Maddox & Zahara, have spent in Namibia they have media watching their very step and now People magazine has an article about the boost in tourism the couple have created. Not surprising.

"If Angelina Jolie gives birth in Namibia, she would have done for our tourism sector what our tourism board budget cannot do in a year," Namibian Ambassador to the United States Hopelong Iipinge said in a statement Thursday.

How To Space Out Pregnancies
After 40 weeks of carrying a little human inside you, I know the last thing on your mind is getting pregnant again. But it's true that your new little person will someday need a little brother or sister to play and grow up with. The question that lingers is what exactly is the rule of thumb between pregnancies?

Well, according to an analysis of 67 international studies involving more than 11 million pregnancies, women should space their pregnancies at least 18 months but no more than five years apart. Spacing babies too close together or too far apart raises the risk of complications such as prematurity and low birth weight. For each month under 18 months between pregnancies, the risk of premature birth increased 1.9 percent. For each month longer than 59 months between pregnancies, the chances of premature birth climbed 0.6 percent.

One of the co-authors of the analysis, Dr. Agustin Conde-Agudelo of Santa Fe de Bogota Foundation in Colombia says that millions of infant deaths could be avoided with better family planning. According to him, since pregnancy and nursing use up nutrients in a woman's body, getting pregnant again before her body has recovered nutritionally may mean higher risks for the baby which makes sense because when you're pregnant, the little life inside of you is like a leech pulling all of your nutrients for herself. But if there's not much to pull, your unborn baby won't be getting enough of all the nutrients she needs. Waiting too long, on the other hand, leads to a diminished reproductive capacity and fertility, which in turn lead to poor fetal development.

Buff Bride Katie
Tom Cruise says once he returns from his Mission Impossible III premiere, he and fiancé Katie Holmes plan on choosing a date and location for their wedding. Katie, wasting no time, has supposedly met with Sue Fleming, owner of Buff Brides to get her into shape so she can fit perfectly into her little wedding dress.

Rumor has it that Katie picked out a traditional dress for the wedding that is strapless, sleek and formfitting. Sue Fleming says Katie wants to work hard on her shoulders and back. Katie will also have a personal trainer licensed by the Buff Brides fitness regimen. Part of the Buff Brides exercise routine includes using a large exercise ball for toning up your belly. Buff Brides has been featured on talk shows, in many magazines, and has its own show on Discovery Health Channel.

Britney To Hold Press Conference
Britney Spears has announced that she will hold a press conference on May 4th at the LA Convention Center for record execs and select media. Sources say the star will be publicly announcing her second pregnancy. "Britney hasn't held a press conference in so long that we know it's something big - pregnancy, split, we're not sure," a rep from Sony/BMG said. Britney's management and Jive Records were reportedly planning to release her new album in November, with a 2007 tour planned.

Update: A Spat Amidst Another Pregnancy?
Kevin Federline attending a listening party on April 21 in Las Vegas for his new album America's Most Hated but pregnant Brit and baby Sean Preston were a no-show. The no-show Britney was made all the more evident when Kathy Hilton (Paris Hilton's mother) grabbed a microphone in the club's VIP area and yelled, "Mrs. Federline, come up here! Britney!" Later that night Federline held up a mic and sang along with the track &when the song ended, he shouted, "Where my ladies at? I love the ladies!"

Prior to the listening party, they were seen dining at the restaurant Nero's at Caesar's Palace when eye-witnesses saw and heard the couple bickering which got louder and louder. Brit allegedly burst into tears and left.  As we reported Britney announced her second pregnancy just yesterday.

Looks like Starbucks is releasing a movie about an 11-year-girl who has a gift for spelling. Public Interest In Brad & Angelina Causes Her To "Giggle"
People reports the public's interest in the two of them causes her to "giggle." Describing the curiosity of others as "just kind of funny," Jolie, speaking to NBC's Ann Curry for segments due to air on Thursday's Today show and Sunday's Dateline says, "If (Brad) saw this, he would probably understand why I was laughing. Because I just don't know how to address that kind of thing." Adding, "I don't talk about our – my relationship in public. But we also don't talk about it at home. … It's one of those funny things that just happens, and you live your life, and you're a family. But you never actually discuss (it)."

Violet Anne Affleck Rushed To Doctor's
In the recent Life & Style Violet Affleck, Benifer's, daughter was rushed to a Century City medical office due to breathing troubles. The 4-month-old was treated and tested for asthma before being released an hour later. "Ben and Jen looked so worried," said an eyewitness. "As Ben carried Violet, Jen kept peering into the blanket to check on her." The family insider did add that Violet will have to go through more testing at a later date and that Ben and Jen "are hoping it's nothing more extreme."

Product Recall: Sycamore Kids Inc. Expands Recall Again of Mountain Buggy Jogging Strollers

About 4,000 unit of the Mountain Buggy Urban Single and Urban Double, Breeze Strollers have been recalled today because the handlebar can crack or break causing the handlebar to detach while in use, posing a risk of injury to young children.

 Sycamore Kids has received 49 reports of the handlebars either cracking or breaking when the stroller was pulled up or taken down stairs. This resulted in five reports of bruises and scrapes. The recalled strollers have a metal frame and a cloth seat with a sun canopy.

 The strollers were sold in a variety of colors including: midnight blue, navy, red, black, silver and orange. A metal plate above the footrest shows the Mountain Buggy logo with “Mountain Buggy,” and “Urban,” or “Breeze” written underneath on the metal plate. The recalled Mountain Buggy Urban Single strollers have item number U1204-002, and serial numbers between 000000 and 015276. The recalled Mountain Buggy Urban Double strollers have item number U2204-002, and serial numbers between 000000 and 009221. The recalled Mountain Buggy Breeze strollers have item number B1204-001, and serial numbers between 000000 and 000191. The serial number and model number are on the back of the metal plate.

Juvenile furniture retailers and baby product stores and Web retailers nationwide from December 2004 through September 2005 for between $400 and $640. You may contact Sycamore Kids to find an authorized repair center to receive a free replacement handlebar ratchet.

Ooops, I'm Pregnant Again

US Weekly confirms what many of us have suspected all along, Britney Spears is indeed expecting her second child with Kevin Federline. The magazine reports that the pop star was so elated that she "cried her eyeballs out," but waited until the Easter holiday to reveal the news to her family and friends.

US Weekly's website features more details on the story, as well as this picture of Britney next to a pool in Las Vegas, hiding her bump in a loose, strapless dress along with Sean Preston born just in September.

My hunch is she wants she have 2 children and she wanted the second pregnancy within close range of her first pregnancy so she can lose the extra weight at once rather than two different times. It's a business tactic.

Dreamy Silk Maternity Dress

One of my biggest problems while pregnant with my son was shopping around in hopes of finding more formal looking dresses to wear to two different weddings. I looked high and low but I'm petite which makes things much harder. I knew what I wanted, a simple a-line dress that didn't make me look huge. Well, I wish I found this dress last year!

Less than a week after his little girl was born, Cruise is off to Rome for the premiere of Mission Impossible III. Prior to his take-off he said that he and Katie have a system all worked out, the B&B. "Katie does the breastfeeding and I do the burping," he said. "And changing the diapers." Now that's true fathering in action! He won't be doing much burping this week because after Rome he's off to London on Tuesday and then Paris on Wednesday. After that, baby Suri will get most if not all of Tom's attention!

Leave Us Alone!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have formally asked journalists to leave them alone while they are  Namibia waiting for the arrival of their new little baby. Namibian authorities are backing them up, according to South Africa's Sunday Times reporting that the security chief for Pitt and Jolie gave a local journalist a statement in which the couple asked for privacy. "We love Africa and to be here in Namibia with our family is very special for us," the statement said. "To the local people who have been so kind and gracious, thank you for making us feel at home."  As for the press, we kindly ask for privacy so that we can enjoy this beautiful country with our children." I think the press is pestering Angelina more so now not only because her due date is cbabyoming closer but also because she is planning on taking out a very large advertisement in USA Today sometime this week to explain in her words the past killings of 400,000 civilians by the Sudanese government-supported militias Janjaweed and the importance to stop violence. She hopes this campaign will save the lives of mothers, fathers and children in Darfur, Sudan.
