Founder & CEO Cori Marx was faced with the dilemma that many women are faced with the arrival & the caring of that new little person. New moms just don't have the time to sit down & tediously fill-out the baby journal that they had selected months before their baby arrived or develop a layout for a scrapbook. 

While on a car-trip she brain-stormed a solution that brought together the speed of typing emails, the simplicity of booking online tickets & the beauty of handmade albums. Ahh, Cori conjured up something that fit the bill,  Big Day Books!

The process is quite simple as moms just log onto their website to select a baby book from a wide array of unique designs & create your pages online by filling in the blanks. Within a couple days of ordering your special book, it will arrive at your doorstep wrapped in delicate tissue paper & enclosed in a package simply sealed with a ribbon. Along with your book you will be presented with 30 archival-quality pages to print your precious one's memories onto & that's it!

Even if you're not too savvy at completing projects online, Big Day Books has made their website very user-friendly. After logging in, your project is separated into 6 chapters, each containing your special pages to fill in the blank. After completing a page, choose your page orientation (left or the right), save as a PDF & print!

To ensure your baby book is as unique as possible, there are over 30 different page topics to choose from & each page comes with a coordinating illustration that appears at the very top! Page topics include How Mom & Dad Met, First Bath, First Walked, First Solid Food, First Birthday, Christening & many, many more! We love the idea that there is so much variety because rational baby books come with pages we don't want to include, for example one mom here didn't have a baby-shower for her second child so what was she to do? Rip the page out or paste a huge 8 x 10 picture over the page? She just wishes she knew about Big Day Books earlier!

Big Day Books do not cater to ordinary families exclusively but also to special families that came together through adoption. Big Day Books are made with the utmost care. The book itself  measures  11 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches , is crafted with beautiful fabric, have no warped edges, & has a custom-made feeling. Inserting the archival pages was a cinch as with any other post-bound scrapbook you would just un-twist the three screws with your fingers & slip the page ends through the pegs, then twist the screws back into place.

The best part about these baby books is that you don't have to worry about sloppy hand-writing, spelling mistakes, yucky marks left behind after correcting spelling errors, whether the ink in your pen will fade overtime, whether or not to use glue to archive a photo or any other frivolous concern involving traditional journals. We love the idea that you can revise your entries multiple times before choosing the print.
