Birth To 2 Months
1. Hepatitis B - Protects against hepatitis B virus which may lead to liver damage and death. Children who get infected are infected at birth or come in close contact with someone who already has the virus.

1. DTAP - A 3 in 1 shot which protects against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. Diptheria infection creates a black coating in the back of the throat that makes it hard to breathe and swallow. It can also lead to suffocation. Tetanus is a bacterial infection that causes severe spasms, seizures and even paralysis. Though it's not contagious it lives in soil and dust so it can easily enter a small cut on the skin. Pertusis is whooping cough and is highly contagious. Whooping cough can be so bad that children won't be able to breathe, eat or drink.
2. Hib - Protects against the haemophilus influenzae type b which causes severe swelling of the throat making it hard for children to breathe. This is a severe form of pneumonia which causes meningitis and infection of the membrane covering the brain and spinal cord. This can lead to brain damage and deafness.
3. Polio - Protects against poliovirus. Symptoms include fever, stiffness and stomach pain.
4. Pneumococcal - Protects against pneumococcal infections. The infection can cause meningitis, ear infections, and respiratory problems.
5. Rotavirus - Protects against rotavirus which causes vomiting and diarrhea in babies and young children. May cause severe diarrhea, fever, vomiting and dehydration.
